2026: Intro to Cedar Strip Canoe Building Class

Join boatbuilder Rick Crook of Oyster Bay Boats and learn cedar strip boatbuilding techniques.
The class will build a 11.5-foot cedar strip canoe that will be raffled off for our 2026 canoe raffle (April to August 2026) to raise funds for the society. When: Thursdays* 7-9 pm starting January 8*, 2026 until mid-March (10-12 weeks) (*note date change) Where: Workshop at Sarah Wray Hall, 4334 Irvines Landing Road, Garden Bay Maximum 6 students. Cost: $200 per student (includes a 1-year single membership) or $190 for members who are paid up for 2026. Please pay by etransfer to [email protected] and put canoe class in the memo. Thank you!
