Heritage Boats > Cedar Strip Canoes
Cedar Strip Canoes
Each year from January to March, boatbuilder Rick Crook of Oyster Bay Boats teaches a small class about cedar strip boatbuilding techniques in the workshop at Sarah Wray Hall in Garden Bay.
The class builds an 11.5-foot cedar strip canoe that is then raffled off for our annual canoe raffle (runs April to August) to raise funds for the Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society.
If you're interested in joining the next boatbuilding class with Rick, please sign up for our newsletter and watch for the class registration notice each year in November & December.
