Early Japanese Families of Pender Harbour

Starting April 17-18, 2026 and throughout the summer, we will be part of a coast-wide Japanese Canadian exhibit in collaboration with Sunshine Coast Museum in Gibsons and Egmont Heritage Centre.

We will explore the history of early Japanese Canadians families in Pender Harbour, including stories of the Ikeda, Kayahara and Kawasaki families who lived in Pender Harbour before the war.
