Sarah Wray Heritage Hall Restoration ProjectFormerly the Irvines Landing School, the building at the corner of Hotel Lake Rd. and Irvines Landing Rd. has been abandoned since the 1990s.

Women of Pender Harbour BookThis book began with the idea by the members of the Pender Harbour Women's Connection group to honour the local women pioneers. After nine years of work by volunteers conducting interviews and gathering information and photographs, members wove the recollections of more than 40 pioneer women into a colourful tapestry of remembrance.

We are presently working on heritage panels for the harbour. Photos and historical information about various sites will showcase Pender Harbour history to our community and to our many visitors. The first panels are planned for the Madeira Park waterfront and Sarah Wray Hall (at one time the old Irvines Landing School). Look for these panels around the harbour by summer 2013.

As people interested in preserving the history of the Pender Harbour community, the Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society actively participates in heritage projects, including the Madeira Park sign boat refurbishment, hosting a Handliner migration celebration in Pender Harbour, co-sponsors the Mission Boat Centennial in Garden Bay, and more
