Purves map, circa 1935
Notated by R.W. Purves, this map shows who was living around the harbour in 1935.
Potts map, circa 1948 John (Jack) Potts was the postmaster at Irvines Landing post office 1935-56. He added the names of people who lived in the harbour around 1948.
Filgas map, circa 1950s Rita and Milo Filgas bought Bill Pieper's store at Irvines Landing in 1960. This map was used to advertise the supplies and services available at their store.

Fishing Floats c1940s Many of these floats were machine-made in Seattle. During WWII years, there was a demand for fish. North American fisherman had no access to German-made or Japanese-made glass floats. Northwestern Glass Co. quickly fulfilled most of the demand.
These surplus floats are being sold as a fundraiser for Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society. $40 each Local pick-up only |
